Beastie Boys is an American punk band that came into the Hollywood music scene in the year 1979 when three men, Mike D (Michael Diamond), MCA (Adam Yauch), and Ad-Rock (Adam Horovitz) joined forces to present great music to the world. Beastie stands for “Beings Entering Anarchistic States Towards Internal Excellence,” and this band therefore strives to give the world a taste of excellent music. The band’s first release was Cooky pus, a hip hop song that gained popularity upon release and was the song of choice played in many bars and clubs. Over the years, this group has released tremendously many albums including Licensed to Ill in 1986, Paul’s Boutique in 1989, Check Your Head in the year 1992, Ill Communication during the year 1994, Hello Nasty in the year 1998, To the 5 Boroughs in 2004, The Mix-Up in 2007, Hot Sauce Committee, Pt. 2 very recently in the Spring 2011 and all these albums have received critical acclaim from around the globe and millions of albums have been sold to fans who await eagerly the release of more.
