Helen Mirren is among the top legendary actress who lives in the hearts of millions of fans around the globe. She was born in London, UK on the 26th of July in the year 1945. Her father was a Russian while her mother was English. She initially started at the Catholic girls school where she participated in the different productions of the drama club. It was there that she realized that this was the field she wanted to work in. She later on joined New College of Speech and Drama in London. At the tender age of eighteen years, she auditioned for the National Youth Theater and was selected. At the age of 20, she got a role as Cleopetra in their production. She rose to fame from there. Her career in theater was a huge success and from then onwards she yearned to work in films and in television. She worked in tremendously many films over the years. Her earlier works include popular films such as Age of Consent, O Lucky Man!, Caligula, Excalibur, The Long Good Friday, White Nights and The Mosquito Coast and many mroe.
