The outlaw Jesse James

Jesse Woodson James was born in Missouri on September the fifth, of the year 1847. He had two siblings, an older brother and a younger sister. He was born in a middle class family of the time with his father owning not only land but also slaves. His father was a minister but died when Jesse was only three years old. His mother remarried twice after his father’s death. It was the American Civil war that shaped the life of the legendary Jesse James. At the age of sixteen, Jesse James got involved with different crime gangs and started earning a living a an outlaw. He got famous and word about his crimes got around in 1869 when he along with his brother robbed the Daviess County Savings Association in Gallatin, Missouri. He got involved with many murders and crimes over the years. He married his counsin Zee, in the year 1874 and the couple had four children. Two survived till adulthood however the youngest two who were twins died in infancy. Jesse James only trusted Ford brothers during his crime days and it was Bob Ford who eventually shot him at the back of his head causing his death. News of his death, spread the entire country like wildfire as people celebrated their independence from the biggest crime lord of the time who had terrorized every person around the nation. As soon as the the news of his death was announced, rumors emerged that Jessie James was not actually dead.
