Shilpa Shetty is among the elite Indian actresses today with more than forty films to her credit. She was born on the eighth of june in the year 1975 in the city of Manglore to a middle class family. She is the eldest of three daughter in her family. She attended St. Anthony Girls’ High School in Chembur, and continued on to college attending Podar College in Matunga. She made her debut in Bollywood with the film Bazingar along side actors Shahrukh Khan and Kajol. This film was critically acclaimed and got her nominated for the award of best supporting actress. She rose to fame from the very beginning of her career. After that she has worked in almost forty different block buster films and has gained a fan base that spreads throughout the world. In the year 2007, she participated in the celebrity version of the program, Big brother and became the first Indian to participate in any such program. She not only gained worldwide popularity with that participation and around thirty one point five million Indian rupees but also won the competition. She became a victim of racist bullying during that time but having eventually won the competition, she considers the whole experience incredible today.
