Yes Man, a Hollywood film directed by the distinguished Peyton Reed, is based on a book by a British writer, Danny Wallace. Although, this film is a blockbuster success, critics have given it mixed reviews claiming that the theme of all Jim Carrey films is becoming the same. The story of the film revolves around a Los Angeles based bank employee Carl Allen, portrayed by Jim Carrey, who has recently been divorced and is worried about his personal life and ending up alone for the rest of his life. His close friends, Pete and Rooney often ask him to go out with them to enjoy the single life in bars but he always tries to avoid them, making up different excuses. On encouragement from a colleague, he decides to attend a Yes! seminar, in which the speaker tries to boost up the courage of people to say yes to different opportunities saying that yes will lead them towards greater experiences of life.
