With a contralto vocal range, Toni Michelle Braxton is an upcoming star and is a renowned R&B singer of the United States of America who has won six grammy awards during a very small time. She was born on October 7, of the year 1967 in the city of Severn, in Maryland. She attended Bowie State University from where she earned a degree in teaching but she changed her field when she was discovered by William E. Pettaway Jr. and he is the one who provided her the platform to use her voice and change the lives of millions around the globe. She started off with her sisters in a group called the Braxtons and they worked together for three years from the year 1989 to 1992. She made her individual debut in the year 1993, when she released her first album. That album was a huge success and got the number one place on the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart for that year. She won three grammy awards for that album along with American music awards. She has released seven albums to date and all of them are a huge success.
