Polly Jean Harvey, renowned across the globe as PJ Harvey, is an English musician and songwriter who is famous for her music. She was born on born 9 October of the year 1969 in Bridport, Dorset. She was raised in Corscombe, Dorset and Yeovil, Somerset in England. Her parents were not professionally involved in music but were fans American blues music. It was their interest in this type of music that compelled her to make a career in this type of music. She has repeatedly said that the greatest influence of her career. She is a vocalist and a guitarist but can play a wide range of instruments including piano, organ, bass, saxophone, and autoharp. She came to the lime light in the 1990s and rose under the name PJ Harvey. Over the years, she has worked with a great many artists of her field including John Parish, Rob Ellis, Mick Harvey, and Eric Drew Feldman. She is tremendously against repeating the same type of music and that is the reason that all her albums are very different from one another. She has done her music in many different ways including rock, pop, electronica, and folk. She also changes her appearance with every new upcoming album with not only her dress but also hair style. This ensures that every album is greatly different from the previous one.
