It opens to the public Wednesday morning. The library and museum, along with the 43rd president's policy institute, are housed in the George W. Bush Presidential Center. The center was dedicated last week in a ceremony featuring comments from Bush and President Barack Obama, along with former Presidents Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter and Bush's father, George H.W. Bush.
Library and museum spokesman John Orrell says 43 students from the Dallas-Fort Worth area were chosen by their superintendents to be the first visitors to the museum.
The museum includes exhibits on the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and other historical events. There is also a replica of the Oval Office.
