46 year old Tom Gores is a billionaire of California. He is willing to buy the struggling NBA franchise of California. This news was broken by Detroit Pistons yesterday. The franchise was struggling because Karen Davidson, its long time owner, had stretched back from her investments. She had announced to sell it in a draw-out deal. The deal was reached between Gores and Karen; however, it still has to be approved on behalf of NBA because DTE Energy Music Theatre and The Palace of Auburn Hills have also come in the deal’s boundaries. Karen Davidson would handover her ownership rights to Tom Gores after NBA’s approval. Terms of deal are still to be disclosed to public.
At present, Gores is CEO of Platinum Equity; his nativity is Flint. He studied in Michigan State University in his student life. At present, he is living in California with his family. His family of wife and three children has also welcomed this deal for purchase of NBA franchise.
