Degrassi is a Canadian based television show that is a teen drama and has been created by the great Linda Schuyler and Kit Hood. The show emerged back in the year 1979. This name Degrassi has today become a franchise with many different shows like The Kids of Degrassi Street, Degrassi Junior High, and Degrassi High. Today the show is running in its tenth season that is called Degrassi the next genertaion. The show revolves around the lives of a group of students who are studying at the Degrassi Community School. The drama involves them facing many different challenges including poor self image, peer pressure, child abuse, sexual identity, gang violence, and most of all drug abuse. The series is produced by the Epitome Pictures and is aired on the CTV. This drama is filmed in the city of Toronto, Ontario. it is among the most popular teen dramas of this age.
