Star Trek is a science fiction entertainment program, animated series and a franchise. The original show was an American television series, created by the brillian mind of Gene Roddenberry. The story revolved around the space adventures of Captain James Tiberious Kirk and his crew on the starship enterprise, a ship of the “United Federation of Planets”. The series started in the year 1966 and ran for almost three years. This show later came to be know as “Star Trek: The Original Series” since many other series have been created with a different cast and crew after the orignal. After the orignal series, the first show that came out was the Star Trek: The Animated Series followed by the release of six feature films. Four more television serials were produced after the films with the same basic concept. These include “Star Trek: The Next Generation”, “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” and “Star Trek: Voyager”.
