Snooki taught Sen. McCain the power of Twitter

SenJohnMcCain -- that Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak needed to step down. The tweet went out to 1.7 million followers, which translated to more eyeballs on his position in less time it would have taken to send out a news release. All this in the midst of fast-moving developments in Egypt.

On another issue dear to McCain, the senator said he believes social media have "lessened" the power of money in politics.
