The Rapper Waka Flocka Flame

Juaquin Malphurs was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York City on the 31st of May in the year 1986. His family resides in Riverdale, Georgia. The stage name he adopted has a huge sentimental value for him. The first name “Waka” was adopted as his cousin called him that after hearing the Fozzie Bear’s catch phrase “Waka Waka”. The last name was given to him by a fellow rapper Gucci Mane and that is how Juaquin Malphurs became Waka Flocka Flame. In the year 2009, he realeased his debut single entitled “O Let’s Do It” and this was the reason he rose to fame. He was in an armed robbery on January 19, of the year 2010, when he was shot and robbed at a car wash in the city of Atlanta. He had no life long injuries and recovered soon afterwards. The bullet hit him in his right arm. He is currently working on numerous mixtapes with Brick Squad of whom he is a member along with Gucci Mane. His debut song rose to #62 on the Billboard Hot 100. His premiere album was released on October 5, of the year 2010. He was honored as the number eighth on MTV’s hottest MC of 2010. Some animosity rose between Waka Flocka Falme and Gucci Mane at the end of last year and they are no longer on speaking terms however both of them have mentioned it to the media that they are friends and no longer have a difference of opinion however they no longer perform or work together. He is a huge supporter of People for the ethical treatment of animals and has posed for a nude but unrevealing picture for the company. The picture is entitled “Ink not Mink”. He remains among the top rappers of the world.
