NY Rangers Could Not Make An Upset Against Capitals

New York Rangers have collided with Washington Capitals in NHL playoffs. Rangers are eight seed while Capitals are top seed at present. Many experts were keeping eyes on this collision because they were expecting an upset in this match. But their hopes could not materialize as Washington Capitals defeated New York Rangers in their start up game of NHL. According to forecasts of experts, Washington Capitals could not score more than two goals in their match. At the other side, defence of Rangers was going to dominate the attack of Capitals. Simultaneously these experts said that Rangers’ attack was going to dominate the defence of Capitals. But the situation of game went in its opposite. It is clear that defence of Rangers was very powerful and they also launched many attacks on goal of Capitals, but Capitals’ goalie did not let them penetrate into their targeted goals. When the game started, New York Rangers were quick in scoring a goal but they could not maintain this lead in remaining part of game. They tried at different occasions to score more goals but goalie of Capitals did not let them succeed. Coach of Rangers has also admired the performance of Capitals’ goalie. He said that some of goals what he blocked were 100% goals in his expectation. In its opposite, Capitals scored two goals in reply to one goal of Rangers. Match might have been tied with 1-1 score but Capital’s one player succeeded in deceiving the Rangers’ goalie just a few seconds before the end of game. When the second goal was scored against Rangers, their hopes of victory were completely lost.
