Bonsai is basically an ancient art that has its roots in the Japanese as well as Chinese history. The process basically involves growing miniature tress in small containers. This is a very unique art that is not found in any other part of the world and people around the globe are fascinated by it.  In Japan this art is known by the name ‘Bonsai’ however its Chinese equivalent is ‘penzai’. A term ‘bon’ refers in the Japanese language to a tray-like pot that is used to grow these small plants. This is among the most different and well appreciated arts. It is not only an exercise for the grower but also a great and different thing for the observer to examine. As opposed to the other plants grown around the world, this is not for food cultivation, medicine or landscaping around. This is just to grow and show the plants in a unique way that is different from the normal practice. This is usually grown by initially taking a specimen from a normal tree or plant in the form of a cutting or a seed. It is possible to create a bonsai for any woody plant from around the globe. Not only that, bonsai of the many different shrubs can also be created very easily.
