Carmelo Kiyan Anthony nicknamed “Melo” is an American athelete who is a professional basketball player with the team the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has been named one of the top players of the country. He was born on the May 29th, of the year 1984 in Brooklyn in the city of New York. It was at the local school, Towson Catholic High School that he started playing basketball and joined the Oak Hill Academy for polishing his playing abilities. He attended the Syracuse University for college on a basketball scholarship where he led their team, the Orangemen, for the first time into a National Championship in the year 2003. It was during that year that he got honored with the award of being the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player along with being named the Most Valuable Player of NCAA East Regional. After only one season with this college team, he was recruited by the NBA. He became the top of selection charts when he was picked at number three by the Nuggets.
