(CNN) -- The mother of a 6-year-old boy found dead in the Maine woods is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday after she was arrested a day earlier, authorities said.

Julianne McCrery, 42, faces a charge of second-degree murder in the death of her son, according to Michael Delaney, the New Hampshire attorney general.

A tip from someone who saw a suspicious vehicle near the boy's body helped police in making the arrest, Delaney said.

McCrery was arrested at a rest stop in a pickup truck that fit the description of the one authorities were looking for, CNN affiliate WHDH reported. She was reading the Bible when she was arrested.

(CNN) -- Human remains discovered in the Utah desert belong to a young male and are not a missing 28-year-old mother, authorities said, a grim discovery that fuels the mystery and opens a new case.

The fate of Susan Powell, who disappeared in 2009, is still unknown.

The remains discovered in Tooele County over the weekend belonged to a young man, Sheriff's Detective Lt. Travis Scharmann said.

Scharmann said the state medical examiner is working to determine the cause, time and other circumstances of his death.

In addition to Powell, authorities must now determine what happened to the man whose remains were found in the same region on Sunday.

They were ''badly decomposed and scattered throughout a wide area, possibly by wild animals,'' according to a news release from the sheriff's office.

An attorney found the bones in the area where his family owns ranch property.

Investigators will likely dig for more body parts, Bill Manion, a medical examiner for Burlington County, New Jersey, told HLN's Nancy Grace on Monday.

"The most important bones that they can find are the jaw and mandible, part of the skull, because if we have the teeth, we can be very, very accurate in identification,'' Manion said.

Meanwhile, the search for the missing woman continues.

Josh Powell says he last saw his wife on a cold December night in 2009 as he and his two young sons left to go camping in the Tooele County desert area. Powell's sister reported her as missing.

A month later, Powell and his children moved to the state of Washington.

Georgia mother found alive, well after disappearing for 6 days

"The case of Wazineh Suleiman is closed," Bartow County Sheriff Clark Millsap told reporters in Cartersville. "She is in a safe location, she is alive, she is well."

Suleiman hadn't been heard from since last Friday night, when her husband arrived home to find the couple's children, ages 6 through 12 alone, and no sign of his wife since she'd left him uncharacteristically profane text messages.

Millsap on Thursday refused to explain why Suleiman may have gone missing, saying only that "why she left is her business, and not ours."

"Our main concern was to make sure that she was safe and we have discovered that," the sheriff said. "Anything that is going on at her residence is her business and her husband's business."

Since being found, the woman told authorities that she does not want "to let anyone know where she is" -- a request Millsap said law enforcement officers will respect. Police also have not offered details about how or where she was found.

The sheriff said that no criminal charges will be filed against anyone in the case.

Earlier Thursday, her father, Basem Jaber, said only that Suleiman was "safe" and with members of the sheriff's department. He said he did not know why his daughter went missing, saying only he was very happy she'd been found and he expected to see her for the first time later Thursday afternoon.

"She's good, she's in good condition," he told reporters Thursday outside the Bartow County sheriff's office.

Suleiman's husband, Abed Suleiman, has said that, after attending Friday prayers, he brought home four pizzas at his wife's request and the family ate dinner together. He then set out for Kentucky on a turkey hunting trip with a male friend.

When Abed Suleiman and his friend were about an hour from home they were informed that turkey hunting season was to begin the following weekend. They immediately turned around, the husband said.

The friend corroborated the story and receipts back it up, Millsap has said.

Wazineh Suleiman was last heard from that night, according to her husband of 14 years, in the form of profanity-laced text messages that she sent him.

"It's over and I'm throwing the phone out the window,'' read one of the messages. Others contained curses, including the f-word, he said,

"She would never, ever send me a text message or use that word in front of me or to me at all," Abed Suleiman said Wednesday on HLN's "Nancy Grace."

"That's the way she is,'' he said. His 30-year-old wife is a kindergarten teacher's assistant.

When he arrived home last Friday around 9 p.m., Abed Suleiman found his five children home alone, something he said had never happened before at night.

His oldest child told him their mother had been gone 10 minutes.

The husband said he thought Wazineh Suleiman had gone to a Walmart to rent a video. But police say there is no evidence she ever made it to Walmart.

Later that evening, Abed Suleiman called police to report her missing.

Until Thursday, the biggest development in the case came Tuesday, when the family's 2004 Nissan Armada was found in an empty parking lot near Interstate 75.

Abed Suleiman, a pharmacist, said Wednesday that his wife's credit cards hadn't been used since she went missing.

The couple filed for bankruptcy in August. Abed Suleiman said, "I have a good income and I bought two very expensive properties in south Florida" that they ended up being unable to afford.

Mother, 3 children dead after she drives van into river

The woman drove her van into the river in Newburgh, New York, according to Michael Vatter, the city's fire chief.

A 10-year-old boy alerted authorities to the incident upon arriving at the city's fire station shortly before 8:00 p.m., Vatter said. Responders found the van approximately 25 yards offshore in 8 to 10 feet of water, according to the chief.

Vatter said it's "hard to tell" at this point whether the woman drove the van into the water deliberately.

"There was apparently a domestic disturbance just prior to this incident involving that family," Vatter said.

(CNN) -- The attorney for the Massachusetts mother found guilty of attempted murder for withholding medications from her cancer-stricken son said Tuesday the system failed his client.

"Some of the times when people have mental problems they have a hard time reaching out. That's the purpose of social workers. Social workers are supposed to be able to detect when people have problems. The social workers on this case failed to do that. Certainly the warning signs were there," attorney Kevin James said on CNN's "Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell."

"Why didn't the people that knew better, why didn't they come forward and help?" he asked.

Kristen LaBrie was found guilty Tuesday of attempted murder, assault and battery and causing bodily harm to a child for failing to give her son, Jeremy Fraser, cancer medications, according to CNN affiliate WHDH. Fraser, who also was autistic, died in 2009 at age 9, WHDH reported.

"Certainly there was no motive in this case," said James. "She did not intentionally withhold the medication from little Jeremy."

Prosecutors had argued that LaBrie knew exactly what she was doing when she stopped giving her son his cancer treatment, WHDH reported.

LaBrie, who testified in her own defense during the trial, was placed in handcuffs inside the courtroom after the jury delivered its verdict, video from WHDH showed.

She will be sentenced on Friday, the Boston affiliate reported.

"Mass General Hospital let this woman go," James said, referring to Massachusetts General Hospital. "They should have known that there were issues here -- should have known that maybe they were requesting too much of this single, 38-year-old woman to take care of a severely autistic child that now had cancer."
