SC man charged in 2 deaths caught in Florida

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Authorities say a man charged in the deaths of two South Carolina women and wanted for questioning in the disappearance of a third has been caught in Florida.

Clarendon County Sheriff Randy Garrett says deputies in Bay County, Fla., captured 31-year-old Jeffery Eady in Mexico Beach after a car and foot chase Saturday evening.

He said authorities were transporting Eady back to South Carolina on Sunday morning.

Garrett said he didn't know if Eady has asked for an attorney.

Eady is charged with murder in the deaths of 37-year-old Crystal Johnson and 65-year-old Maybell White, and wanted for questioning in the disappearance of 77-year-old Sadie Brown.

He had been released from state prison last year after serving a decade for armed robbery.
