The Legendary Charlie Chaplin

Sir Charles Spencer renowned around the globe as “Charlie” Chaplin was born on 16 April of the year 1889 and he passed away on the 25 December of the year 1977. He was a legendary English comical actor who earned a name for his outstanding performances. He was also a film director and composer who is most famous for his outstanding work during the silent film era. He became one of the top film stars of the world in the era before the First World War. Chaplin developed and used mime techniques, slapstick and tremendously many other visual comedy routines. He is most renowned for his role in the film The Tramp. In this movie, he played the role of a Keystone comedy Kid Auto Races at Venice in in the year 1914. Chaplin was among the most creative and influential personalities of his time, which was an era of silent films. He admired his French predecessor Max Linder who was also a silent film comedian before the time of Charlie Chaplin. He has dedicated one of his films to his mentor. He worked for over seventy five years in the entertainment industry until the very end of his life. He died at the age of eighty eight years. In the year 1999, almost twenty two years after his death,  the American Film Institute named him among the gratest male screen legeneds of all time. He emerged on the film scene during the wartimes and made people around the globe laugh and forget all the troubles. Over the period of great depression during the age of Hitlet, he stayed at his job and worked harder to help give the public a comic relief and entertainment through his work. It was on the George Bernard Shaw that he was called “the only genius to come out of the movie industry”.
